The Taiwanese have been very crafty in the last few years and some really amazing teas are just starting to gain steam outside of the island. Taiwanese white tea is one of my favorite teas, there are so many and all have different experiences. This tea is sweet and fragrant with a fresh and clean mouthfeel.
Cultivar #21 or AKA "Hong Yun" was designed by the Taiwanese Tea Research and Extension station. #21 white is a beautiful cross between a keemon and assamica leaf. #21 was originally developed to be black but as this tea proves it was meant for so much more!
