Tasting notes: Bright red fruits, smooth, sweet, with a licorice/mint finish
Farm location: Nantou area, Taiwan.
This tea was created by "mad tea scientists" in Taiwan and was not released to the world until recent years. The key to this tea's success is one part wild Taiwanese oolong, plus one part Burmese Assam black tea. The brew is properly bold as a black tea should be, but without the "sharpness" often associated with Assam black teas. Ruby 18's full large leaves are unique and easy to appreciate both dry and wet.
